  Hit and miss with this place. The food is good, but don't stop by if you're short on time because you often have to wait quite a while for simple orders like chips (if you're not altogether forgotten about, like I was and ended up waiting 45 minutes for chips and gravy). With all of the feedback about running out of pies, you would think they would do something about it - but all the time we've been going there, if you don't get your pie before noon, you're likely to be out of luck. Donuts are great.

  This popular establishment is located in some of the best countryside in the Adelaide Hills. Alas my visit there last Sunday has me wondering if they are now trading on their name and location. My steak and red wine pie would have been more accurately described as a gristle pie, my turkey, camembert and cranberry sauce roll was pedestrian and my custard tart was watery and tasteless. It's time to lift your game, methinks!
